Plans have been unveiled for a new 25,000 square metre town centre in Bray which will open its doors in spring 2020. Construction has already begun on the new Bray Town Centre on the former Florentine Centre site. The three-storey development will comprise space for three anchor tenants,in addition to nine individual retail units, restaurant and café space, and 250 car parking spots.

BrayThe plans also incorporate the development of a new urban street – accessed from Bray Main Street – and a central plaza with pedestrian access from Quinsborough Road. Letting agent Savills have already confirmed a pre-let agreement with Press Up Group. This agreement will see a five-screen Stella cinema and renowned restaurant Elephant and castle of tenants of the new centre.

Savills has been instructed as lettings agents and confirm that – in addition to the reserved anchor tenant – some substantial pre-lets have also been agreed with the market leading Press Up Group. The Press Up Group will be operating a 5-screen Stella cinema, an exciting new leisure concept, and the renowned Elephant and Castle restaurant. Director of Savills Ireland, Darragh Cronin, said : “The development of the Bray Town Centre will transform the retail and evening economy of Bray, where the main street has been poorly provided for due to a lack of restaurants, larger retail units and leisure offerings

“The existing modern design that compliments the towns historic evolution will bring modern retailing and entertainment to this successful town.” The 2.4 acre site has been the  subject of a number of retail-led development proposals since 1996. The site is owned by Wicklow County Council, who appointed property company Oakmount to develop the site in March 2018.
