Senior Design Engineer

Our client, a leading Offsite Construction company in Norfolk, are searching for an experienced Senior Design Engineer. Experience in offsite modular, cold-formed steel or timber frame construction is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

• Acting as a go between, between our client and suppliers of various offsite building systems
• Manage conversion of clients drawings into suitable drawings for production
• Assisting with costing for product design, delivery and install
• Ensuring regulatory compliance in details and specifications
• Point of contact for all design related issues
• Has overall responsibility of design quality
• Project Manage and resolve day to day design issues in liaison with the suppliers, pre-construction team, compliance, right through to handover with constant interaction with the Commercial Department
• Proven management skills both of people and projects
• Previous experience as a Design Manager or Senior Design Engineer is essential

Key Requirements:

• +8 years’ experience in Design Manager or Senior Design Engineer role
• Experience in offsite modular, cold-formed steel or timber frame construction
• Possess good communication skills and be able to work on own initiative
