Our Client are a UK based independent tunnelling contractor, specialising in Micro tunnelling, Auger Boring, Shaft Sinking and Pipe Jacking, offering a comprehensive range of services to the water and civil engineering industries across UK & Ireland.

We are assisting our client with the recruitment of a Site Agent for a project starting in October 2021. The Site Agent will be responsible for the management of the construction site in order to achieve required project delivery to the customers’ objectives, while maintaining standards of health and safety, quality, environmental impact and cost control.

Project Duration: Approx. 40 weeks

Job Requirements:

· Assisting the QS to ensure the commercial performance of the contract is maximised

· Assume overall responsibility for the successful delivery of projects

· Deliver the work safely and without environmental incidents

· Deliver the work to the specified quality without defects Ensure production and implementation of Project Plans, RAMS, ITP’s and waste management plans, in line with Company procedures

· Produce and manage the project programme and produce 2 weeks look ahead

· Produce procurement schedules and liaise with the procurement department to ensure sites have adequate resources to complete the tasks

· Deliver end product to customer satisfaction

· Ensure detailed site diaries/records are completed

· Endeavour to spot and highlight value engineering opportunities

· Produce good quality, accurate monthly reports for the Client and internally

· Chair weekly site meetings in line with Company procedures

Experience & Qualities:

· Considerable experience in Civil Engineering

· Holds a current driving license;

· Holds current CSCS card and SMSTS;

· Experience of working on tunnelling projects is not essential but would be beneficial.

· Experience of working with Formwork, Rebar and concrete;

· The ability to work well within a dynamic, fast-paced team, whilst working autonomously;

· The ability to prioritise a varied workload effectively;

· Previous site experience in delivering projects to programme;

· The ability to manage the installation of works to a high specification / quality;

Desirable attributes:

· Experienced in the delivery of high-profile projects, to ensure that customer expectations are exceeded and enhanced experience for all involved in the scheme;

· Solution orientated individual, with ability to analyse risks and benefits of options to resolve identified issues. Proven experience of working to tight deadlines with an ability to prioritise and multi-task;
