Based in the West of Ireland, our client provide structural steel to a wide range of sectors from Industrial, Commercial, Residential, Domestic & Agricultural. Due to rapid expansion, our client are recruiting a qualified Quantity Surveyor with 2 years of experience minimum on Structural Steel projects. The successful candidate will join their team in Clare. This is a full time permanent position.
Role / Responsibilities:
- The role will include but not be limited to:
- Preparing tenders and submitting
- Preparing plans, budgets and bills of quantities
- Cost control
- Writing reports
- Making valuations
- Arranging payments for suppliers/sub-contractors
- Overseeing the costs and variations to the contracts
- Carrying out final accounts
- Liaising with clients and staff
Experience:
- Quantity Surveying: 5 years (Preferred)
- Structural Steel: 3 years (Preferred)
- Qualified to degree level is essential
- Experience in s similar role
- Ability to demonstrate a full working knowledge of current quantity surveying practice
