MEICA Engineer (Water) – Co. Meath

Salary: Negotiable (SBOE)

We’re recruiting a MEICA Engineer for a leading civil engineering & utilities contractor for their office in Co. Meath. This Engineer will have responsibility for mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation elements of projects across all the Leinster & Greater Dublin Are. The duties shall include:

    • MEICA EngineerDealing with contractual matters on site related to MEICA Works;
    • Liaising with the Project Resident Engineer/Senior Resident Engineer and Employer’s Representative;
    • Liaison with the Site Supervision Teams on each Contract;
    • Method statements and preparation of clear comments;
    • MEICA design submissions
    • Assisting in supervision of the works, keeping records, measuring, managing correspondence, and contractual documentation;
    • Monitoring the commissioning of the works and process proving;
    • Other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

  • Primary degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or other relevant discipline;
  • 3+ years relevant experience in major engineering projects;
  • Strong knowledge of water industry is preferred;
  • Familiarity with industry standard forms of contract;
  • Experience of design, installation and commissioning of MEICA infrastructure;
  • Expertise with P&IDs, Electrical Wiring Diagrams, Control Philosophy and Factory/Site Acceptance Testing;
  • Awareness of Health & Safety and welfare at work requirements during construction and operation.
